A graduate of the Juilliard School, Jameel is the founding violist of the Renaissance String Quartet. He is currently pursuing an MFA with a concentration in poetry at Brooklyn College, where he is an adjunct professor of english composition, and co-editor-in-chief/poetry editor of The Brooklyn Review.
